Description & Remarks
This species was presented in the Analytical Flora of Palestine (Eig, Zohary & Feinbrun, 1948) as Tulipa systola. In the updated Flora Palaestina (Feinbrun, 1986) the name T. systola was applied to the desert tulip (see the appropriate page in this website). No further investigation was carried out in the tulips of Israel
