Description & Remarks

A small desert geophyte, very close and similatr to M. inconstrctum. It is important to study this species more and understand whether it is a separate species or a desert form of M. inconstrctum. Leaves filiforme-linear, twisted-coiled (thicker and less twisted in M. inconstrictum). Scape 7-15 cm tall, ending in a group of flowers. Flowers jug-like (not elongated as in M. inconstrictum), pale violet, darkening gradually towards the black perianth teeth at the edge.
