Description & Remarks

A geophyte, 15-40 cm tall. The bulb outer tunics are light brown. Leaves 3-4, green, narrow and long, with hairy-velvety sheaths (leaves usually dry already in blooming time). Flowering head 40-56 mm across, many flowered, hemispherical. Flowers campanulate, pure white to pinkish, 3-5 mm long. Anthers shorter than or equal to  perianth, filaments white, pollen yellow.
