Description & Remarks
The plant was discovered first in 1999 at one site in the Judean Mts., in a depression draining an urban area of Mevaseret Yerusalaim to the shade of a planted pine woodland. That population was first determined by the expert, Prof. U. Plitmann, as Lathyrus palustris L. After further investigations Prof. Plitmann and his colleagues re-determined the plant (Melamed et al., Isr.J.Pl.Sci 57:125-130 [2009]). The names in Hebrew, Latin, and common name in English changed accordingly.
