Description & Remarks
Fagonia tenuifolia was collected in Israel for the first time near Mor Ascent (Maaleh Mor). It was in 1970, and displaying the plant to Prof. M. Zohary initiated an excursion for Fania species. The plant was determined by him and became part of the flora since then. During the last 40 years my attempts to collect the plant again failed. On March 31, 2009 we found it some 100 m away from the original collection site. Further verification of the identity of the plant is brought in comparison with the account of the genus in Flora of Egypt vol. 2: p. 13 (Boulos, 2000).
