Prof. Emeritus Avinoam Danin learned and worked in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem for more than 50 years. The information accumulated in the data base and many photographs are his. During his excursion in Israel and neighboring countries he discovered 44 species and 3 subspecies new to science. Three species are named after him.
