Description & Remarks

This Origanum was discovered in Edom during the years of peace negotiations of Jordan and Israel. The epithet “jordanicum” commemorates King Hussein of Jordan who signed the peace agreement with Yitzhak Rabin in the days when the holotype was collected by I. Kuenne in SW Jordan.
