Description & Remarks
@More on this species in Flower Talk 9, June 2007.
Most species of the genus Galenia are of South African origin arriving to other countries as adventives. The first species of this genus was erroneously named (by A. Liston and A. Danin) Galenia secunda. An apropriate investigation of the plant identity by Dr. Thomas Raus (of the Botanical Garden and Museum of Berlin-Dahlem), using authentic herbarium material shows that only the present species grows in Israel. The flower colour is white or pink.
